When it comes to labour law advisory, we assist our clients primarily in the following areas:
  • conclusion of employment contracts and agreements on work performed outside an employment relationship (drafting employment contracts and agreements on work performed outside an employment relationship, including multilingual versions, drafting salary statements, agreements on the use of company vehicles, etc.)
  • drafting the employer's internal regulations (e.g. internal wage regulations)
  • changes to employment relationships (drafting amendments to employment contracts, documents for transfers of employees to other work, etc.)
  • temporary assignment of employees (preparation or review of contracts with the employment agency, agreements on temporary assignment of employees)
  • preparation of reprimands and warnings for employees who violate work obligations or do not meet the employer's requirements for work performance
  • termination of employment (preparation of termination notices, immediate termination of employment, employer's decision to terminate a post, agreement to terminate employment, etc.)
  • mass redundancies (drawing up a timetable, preparing reports for the trade union and the labour office, etc.)
  • collective bargaining (analysis of the existing collective agreement or a higher-level collective agreement, support for the employer in collective bargaining, preparation of draft text of a collective agreement or an amendment to it, etc.)
  • representation in employment disputes before the courts (in particular disputes concerning the invalidity of termination of employment or immediate termination of employment or compensation for damage)
  • representing the employer in administrative proceedings (e.g. before the labour inspectorate)
  • temporary assignment of staff to the EU and beyond and international hiring, including the preparation of related contracts
  • posting of employees to the Czech Republic and the EU and beyond, including preparation of related contracts
  • sending employees on foreign business trips, including the processing of the related A1 certificate
  • assessing which country’s social security rules apply to a particular employee and arranging the processing of the related A1 certificates (even if an employee is working in more than one EU country or outside the EU)
  • advising on the processing of grounds for residence and work permits and arranging the necessary documents for the employee (employee card, blue or green card) in the Czech Republic and worldwide in cooperation with Rödl & Partner offices worldwide
  • handling the paperwork associated with the relocation of expats abroad in cooperation with Rödl & Partner offices worldwide
  • assessing situations where an employee has overlapping (partial) pensions in several countries in cooperation with Rödl & Partner offices worldwide
  • close cooperation with the personal income tax team in the Czech Republic and with Rödl & Partner offices worldwide

We also offer the preparation of an employment law audit in which we will evaluate your standard employment law documentation (contracts, internal regulations, etc.) and procedures and, if necessary, suggest modifications and improvements that help you avoid risks to the maximum extent possible.
