Rödl & Partner has long and systematically focused on Corporate Compliance and corporate responsibility in the individual areas of business. We provide consulting services at both multinational group level and local company level in the Czech Republic.

We advise on all areas of interest in Corporate Compliance and the implementation or deepening of Compliance Management Systems (CMS), which constitute an essential organisational basis for ensuring the compliance function in any business company. 

Our standard services include:

  • The analysis and design of an appropriate process for implementing a Compliance Management System, including appropriate internal and external communication tools
  • Establishing internal channels for whistleblowing and whistleblower protection
  • Implementing regulatory and other legal requirements into the company's internal processes, including implementation of GDPR requirements
  • Consulting on the development of compliance programmes and other related CMS command and organisational documentation
  • The identification and analysis of the main compliance risks for the company, taking into account the subject and specific nature of the business, market position, size and other criteria
  • Conducting comprehensive and specialized Compliance Due Diligence and Compliance Audits as independent external control tools;
  • Assessing and evaluating compliance risks in the context of commercial contracts and M&A transactions (Compliance M&A and Contract Assessment), in particular risks related to competition protection
  • Supporting internal investigations in the event of breaches of legislation and compliance rules (Compliance investigation procedures) (Compliance investigation procedures); 
  • Organizing and delivering in-house training courses for employees in all areas of corporate compliance, such as protection of competition, prevention of corruption and criminal liability, privacy and personal data protection, AML, etc. 

Our advisory services in the area of compliance and the prevention of corporate liability are aimed at ensuring that both the compliance function and the implemented Compliance Management System are always appropriately integrated into the broader context of the company’s internal control system, which constitutes a superstructural basis for the proper governance of any business company (Corporate Governance).    

An integral part of our services in the area of compliance and the prevention of corporate liability is also the representation of our clients in the context of inspections or in other subsequent proceedings for the imposition of fines for offences conducted by public administration authorities, such as the Labour Inspectorate, the Office for the Protection of Competition, the Office for the Protection of Personal Data, the Czech Environmental Inspectorate, etc.      

Rödl & Partner’s Compliance and Corporate Responsibility team offers and provides comprehensive services in this regard, encompassing not only legal, but also broader economic, accounting and IT aspects.

We are active members of several professional societies and associations active in Corporate Compliance and related areas, in particular the Czech Compliance Association and the Compliance Academy.
