When it comes to criminal law, we represent plaintiffs and defendants. We focus on unravelling financial crime and on tax offenses, which tax authorities like to shine a light on in their pursuit of contentious tax cases.

Our services also include the preparation of in-house policies for our business clients that instruct their employees on how to proceed if the authorities conduct a criminal investigation at the client’s offices or if they are instructed to submit certain items or documents in connection with criminal proceedings. 

Our on-site training programs advise client employees on their rights in situations where they find themselves in the position of a witness or an accused party in criminal proceedings. The fundamental right in this regard is the right to defense and the right to legal assistance. 

When defending our clients in criminal proceedings, after discussing their options, together we select the most advantageous procedural strategy. If needed, we work with our clients during the process of procuring suitable evidence such as through arranging the preparation of expert opinions.

Our litigation department is headed by JUDr. Monika Novotná, a renowned expert with many years of practical experience in this area of law.  Monika Novotná is a lawyer and a member of the Czech Bar Association of the Czech Republic.
