Application processing

PrintMailRate-it

The subsidy application process starts with the selection of the most suitable public funding programme. We then determine and optimise the key indicators of the contemplated project and prepare the subsidy application, inclusive of all compulsory and voluntary schedules and annexes. All this must be done in the extent and in compliance with applicable laws, guidelines and policies. The application is administered in an online web application.

Examples of compulsory annexes to the subsidy application

  • Business plan / feasibility study
  • Financial analysis of the project
  • Collection and submission of documents needed to establish the project budget and funding
  • Documentation of market potential of project output, etc.

Procedural steps

  • Processing the subsidy application = project criteria setup
  • Subsidy application approval = acceptance of binding conditions for project implementation and payment of subsidy
  • Project implementation = observing all binding conditions, management of project changes in compliance with the conditions
  • Subsidy payment = the payment of the subsidy funding based on the application, provided all binding conditions for the project implementation have been observed
  • Keeping the subsidy = not having to refund the subsidy so long as all binding conditions are observed

When to expend costs

Project costs may be expended after the application has been filed. Subsidy funding is paid retrospectively after the project has been completed. This means that the project must be pre-financed from the client’s own or third party sources (loan, credit).

Other conditions

Over the course of the project and for a period of 5 years after the project has been completed, the subsidy recipient must use the assets (i) obtained from subsidy funding (ii) and which it owns for subsidized economic activities.
